1. Presentation

As Kyos, a public limited company, with headquarter in Switzerland, Chemin Frank-Thomas, 32, 1208 Geneva, we are committed to protecting your privacy by safeguarding your personal data.


The purpose of this policy is to inform you about our practices regarding the processing of personal data, their protection, and the rights you have with respect to such data when you visit our website.


At this end, Kyos complies with the General Data Protection Regulation n°2016/679 (known as “GDPR”). This European regulation, which has been applicable since 25th May 2018 to the member states of the European Union, is not an obstacle to our Swiss nationality, as Kyos may process personal data as a processor on behalf of our European customers and suppliers.
Furthermore, Kyos is also subject to the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (the “FDPA”).

2. Collection of personal data

When you browse on our website, we collect your IP address, as well as the date and time you visited our site.

We also collect, through our event registration forms or contact forms, your name, first name and email address.

3. Marketing profiling

Marketing profiling is defined as the automated processing of personal data to use that data to evaluate certain aspects of the data subject and to analyze or predict his or her interests, behavior, and other attributes.

 

We inform you that by browsing our website you are not subject to marketing profiling.

4. Cookies

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”).
The cookies deposited by Google Analytics are not so-called “necessary” cookies. That is to say that their use is not essential to the proper functioning of our website.

4.3 Advertising cookies

These are used to create profiles or personalize our content. They are generally activated by third parties.

We inform you that advertising cookies are deposited by:

  • YouTube: due to the integration of videos on our site, YouTube deposits cookies to keep track of your preferences.

In the same way as Google Analytics, these cookies are not necessary for the functioning of the site. You have the choice whether they are deposited or not.

Each processing of personal data carried out must be based on one of the legal bases provided for by the GDPR, i.e., what legally authorises us to carry out a processing of your data.

The data collected is collected solely by KYOS SA in its capacity as data controller.

7. Retention periods

KYOS only retains the personal data collected for as long as it is necessary for the purposes of the processing in accordance with the principles of data minimization and limitation.

8. Transfers outside the European Union (EU)

In the context of the services it provides, KYOS may transfer personal data to the European Union, which is in line with Swiss data protection regulations.

Furthermore, by using cloud services whose data is hosted in Switzerland and in Europe, or by having implemented organisational and technical measures that are also adequate to the GDPR and the FDPA, your data is processed securely as required by the applicable regulations.

Any request to transfer personal data outside the European Union will be subject to a prior assessment of the risks that this transfer may represent for the rights and freedoms of the persons concerned.
